Describe a time you felt completely lost.

Prompt: Describe a time you felt completely lost.

Prompt Response: There aren't many times where I've felt completely lost and without directions, however there are a few times where I've been quite close. In certain classes I've had certain teachers who make me feel entirely incompetent and lost no matter how I try to focus on understand. During these moments it can be very hard to look on the bright side and I can experience very negative emotions and be extremely hard on myself. However, I know that even though I don't understand now, that doesn't mean I will never be able to, and this mindset often allows me to try again at a later date with more success. Being lost isn't a bad thing by itself, but it can become very harmful if you take it out on yourself in a personal manner.

Summary: Today in class we presented our PowerPoint presentations on "The Jealous Father," with my group going over the conflict resolution.

Reflection: I believe I did rather good presenting the PowerPoint today, which has certainly not always been the case. When I was much younger I used to break down sometimes in front of everyone as I was scared of performing poorly. Hopefully I'm definitely past this and I'll get even better as I do more and more in the future.

Use a hyperbole, an understatement, and a litotes to describe today's lesson.

Write about something that you can't stop thinking about.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.
