Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

Prompt: Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

Prompt Response: One time where I had to rely on someone else was for the middle school science fair. Due to the teacher I had at the time, the entire class was forced to participate and my partner and I were less than inspired to say the least. We made an arrangement where I would do most of the writing as long as he did the experiment (which revolved around watering plants with different fluids) as well as recording the data. Every night I would have to trust that he would remember and actually do it, or else my grade would suffer. At the end it eventually came together, and I still sometimes see him in the halls to this day.

Summary: Today in class we did an assignment revolving around identifying rhetoric in a presidential address.

Reflection: I found the assignment to be fairly easy due to the notes I took yesterday. It's interesting to see how all of the different devices impact a piece of media in different ways.

Use a hyperbole, an understatement, and a litotes to describe today's lesson.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.

In “We Real Cool,” the speakers make choices that seem exciting, bold, and rebellious, even though those choices lead to consequences. Write about a moment in your own life when you followed what looked cool or fun, only to realize afterwards that it wasn’t the smart or responsible path. What influenced your decision, and how did your perspective change later?
