Write about a time you didn’t feel like yourself.

Prompt: Write about a time you didn’t feel like yourself.

Prompt Response: During the first few years of coming back to school from the pandemic, I definitely did not feel like myself. I lost the few social skills I had in elementary school, where I still didn't feel very accepted by my peers. I often resorted to putting on a "mask" trying to fit in somewhat, even if I was talking to friends. I think I'm a bit better now, but it's still a very real struggle for me.

Summary: Today in class we received an assignment where we identify rhetoric in the iconic "I Have a Dream" speech.

Reflection: I feel that the assignment is quite long, so I am glad I have a few extra days to work on it. I was not aware that this speech was considered to be the greatest of all time, but I feel that it does make sense.

Use a hyperbole, an understatement, and a litotes to describe today's lesson.

Write about something that you can't stop thinking about.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.
