Prompt: Choose a vocabulary word from Lesson 10 that resonates with you personally. Write a blog post explaining why this word is significant to you, including any personal memories or experiences that link you to the word.

Prompt Response: The word I chose that resonated with me is "tremulous" as it invokes feelings of uneasiness I experienced in the past. I remember dreading piano recitals, as I'd always get super anxious and mess up my performance, making me feel even worse about being there in turn. These times were very hard for me but at the same time allowed me to understand myself better.

Summary: Today in class we completed vocabulary lesson ten and its related activities.

Reflection: The vocabulary exposed me to a fair amount of new words that I could potentially weave into assignments and essays. I found it odd that two words, both starting with "t" and meaning timid, were in the same lesson.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.

Write about a moment in your own life when you followed what looked cool or fun, only to realize afterwards that it wasn’t the smart or responsible path. What influenced your decision, and how did your perspective change later?
